On June 4th Frisco Square had it’s first concert of the summer music concert series, “Music in the Square.” This year the first concert was Justin Mason, a Dallas based country artist. Attendance was quite good all things considered and everyone there had a good time. I of course brought my little camera and took a “few” shots, about 350 to be more exact. Below are some of my favorite picks!
I shot most of these images with my Sony RX100VI, with a few shot on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. Both set to shoot in RAW, of course. As the concert is in Simpson Plaza I had easy access to the stage and could shoot from lots of angles. The only thing I couldn’t do was get on the stage; but with the Sony’s 24-200mm zoom I was able to get some tight shots. It’s not the best camera in low light; however a concert has bright stage lights making light of little concern.
My favorite photos of the concert, are probably the a few of the close up of Justin and his band mates along with the shots of Justin and the wonderful colors of dusk that evening. They turned out much better than I expected.
I hope you enjoy my images! More should be coming as there are three more concerts in the series this month.
