Thrown Into the Deep End, Putting A Puzzle Together

The job at HighPointe Group is going quite well. I like the people I am working with and they seem to like me. It is a fast and wooley atmosphere and everyone seems to pull several duties throughout each day. That said, the best way to explain how I feel at the moment is to say that I feel as though I was thrown into the deep end of a pool and asked to put a 1000 piece puzzle together. I seem to be coping, eventhough when I get home I am firmly exhausted and ready to relax, eat a bowl of icecream and take a look ay my house and go, "wow." An exhausted wow, but a "wow" none-the-less. Hey, I really can't complain since I have a job, can pay my bills and own my own home (well, me and the bank).

I do fear that I may be getting some phone calls tonight due to the power outage in New York. As the power is restored I may get calls from carriers who need to get to the rooftop of one or our buildings in New York City because of spikes or the like hitting their equipment. No calls yet, so maybe I won't get woken at 2:00 in the morning. Yes, I am on call 24 hours a day just in case there is an emergency. Yuck!
