Okay, the video quality isn’t all that great; but the present sure is fun. A gift from my youngest daughter. You can find this video and many others from Christmas over on KWTV or KWLive, just look at the top of this webpage.

I edited this video together yesterday from video I took while Brion, Rachel and Titus were here. The video quality isn’t great, but then it was taken on an iPhone. We had a great time while my brother and his family were here. We didn’t get to spend a great deal of time with them, busy lives and all; but we did get some quality time together. Titus was a joy and reminds me so much of Brion; looks like him too. I have a photo of Brion at that age and it’s amazing how much they look alike.
Brion, hope your trip home was safe. Enjoy the video, and should YOU “upgrade” to an iPhone, be sure to send me lots of videos. We can add them to the family collection on KWTV.
I’m also making this my Video of the Week!
This is a bit from a Kevin Nealon stand-up special on Comedy Central. You might remember Kevin Nealon from Saturday Night Live. He is also currently on the ShowTime series Weeds. I also saw him this weekend in the movie Aliens in the Attic. He had a small part as the dad, but the movie was funny.
Okay, I know I’m going to take some heat for this Video of the Week. For a couple of weeks I’ve been hearing “Party in the USA” either on the radio or Kristie playing it on her iPod. It was catchy; but I didn’t know who was singing (not unusual for me). I figured it was one of the many new artists hitting the scene. The proverbial “One Hit Wonder.”
Then I was cruising the old web and tripped over one the videos on YouTube. Low and behold I discovered it was Miley Cyrus, better known as Hanna Montana. If you don’t know who Miley Cyrus is, well, you might well just be living under a rock. If you don’t know who Hanna Montana is, then you have been living not on Mars; but Pluto. So get your happy rear end on a rocket ship and get back to Earth.
This morning I found this iPhone Ad “Leaked New iPhone Commercial” on YouTube. It’s a little long for an iPhone commercial (more than a minute) but it’s really well made. Here’s the short description – iPhone Apps for the man who’s girlfriend has broken up with him. Okay, now just hit play!
UPDATE: I’ve decided to make this one the Video of the Week for August 31st.
If you spend anytime on YouTube at all you have probably run across at least one of the videos done by iJustine. She is what I’ve heard referred to as an Internet Celebrity. She does regular video blogging and video skits. A few of the more recent ones have been spoofs. This video is a spoof of the Black Eyed Peas song – “I Gotta Feeling.” It’s not the funniest thing on the net; but it is good and what’s more amazing – she does this all in her apartment doing most if not all of the work herself. I might add it’s all done on Macs. But of course!
Oh in the video she is making fun of profile pictures. Those are the photos that folks use on FaceBook or other social media sites to show themselves off. You, of course, want to look good in those photos and have them show off who you “really” are; or aren’t as the case may be.
A short time ago the wife and I were watching TV together and this ad came on TV for Bridgestone Tires. I must have missed this last winter as it was one of the 2009 Superbowl ads. Needless to say it’s a great ad with an ending you won’t expect and will keep you laughing for minutes.
I love trailers, and whether this movie is good or not… the trailer sure is fun. It’s coming out in November, which seems like a strange release date for a movie like this; but November isn’t a throwaway month either. Day After Tomorrow was a similar movie and made by the same folks. Cool special effects. Lots of destruction. The world on the edge of oblivion. Who knows, maybe a Mac will save the day! Okay, probably not, but it did in Independence Day and that was made by the same folks too. Enjoy the trailer to – 2012.
Okay, you can’t have a video of the week without at some point showing the MOST POPULAR VIDEO ON YOUTUBE EVER! It’s called the Evolution of Dance and is performed by Judson Laipply. It’s a long one at 6 minutes, but you will enjoy every second of it.
With over 5 million views, this wedding video is something special. Everyone in this wedding party, was ready to party. This is a bit long, around 5 minutes but it sure is something special. I came across this one watching a fellow TU alumns weekly netcast, The MoxiMo Show.
