The following was found posted very low on a refrigerator door.

Dear Dogs and Cats: The dishes on the floor with the paw prints are yours
and contain your food. The other dishes are mine and contain my food. Placing a paw print in the middle of my plate does not mean that it is suddenly your food, nor do I find that aesthetically pleasing in the slightest. The stairway was not designed by NASCAR and is not a racetrack. Racing me to the top of the stairs is not the object. Tripping me doesn’t help because I fall faster than you can run.

I cannot buy anything bigger than a king-sized bed. I am very sorry about this. Do not think I will continue sleeping on the couch to ensure your comfort. Dogs and cats can actually curl up in a ball when they sleep. It is not necessary to sleep perpendicular to each other, stretched out to the fullest extent possible. I also know that sticking tails straight out and having tongues hanging out on the other end to maximize space that you are taking up, is nothing but sarcasm.For the last time, there is no secret exit from the bathroom! If, by some miracle, I beat you there and manage to get the door shut, it is not necessary to claw, whine, meow, try to turn the knob or get your paw under the edge in an attempt to open the door. I must exit through the same door I entered. Also, I have been using the bathroom for years – canine/feline attendance is not required. 

The proper order for kissing is: Kiss me first, then go smell the other dog or cat’s butt. I cannot stress this enough.

Finally, in fairness, dear pets, I have posted the following message on the front door: TO ALL NON-PET OWNERS WHO VISIT AND COMPLAIN
(1) They live here…. you don’t. (2) If you don’t want their hair on your clothes, stay off the furniture. That’s why they call it “fur”-niture. (3) I like my pets a lot better than I like most people. (4) To you, they are animals. To me, they are adopted sons/daughters who are short, hairy, walk on all fours, and don’t speak clearly. Remember, dogs and cats are better than kids because they:
(1) eat less, (2) don’t ask for money all the time, (3) are easier to train, (4) normally come when called, (5) never ask to drive the car, (6) don’t hang out with drug-using people; (7) don’t smoke or drink, (8) don’t want to wear your clothes, (9) don’t have to buy the latest fashions, (10) don’t need a gazillion dollars for college and
(11) if they get pregnant, you can sell their children…..

TWiT is probably the best known of these new media companies and was started by Leo Laporte, star of radio and TV. Several years ago he moved into the TWiT Cottage to better handle his growing business of video podcasts, or “netcasts” as he prefers to call them. Last year Leo and his team of “netcasters” and producers made the huge decision to take netcasting up a notch and move into a much bigger studio. Months of design and hard work later, TWiT Brick House Studios is about to go live.

Have you ever taken a relaxing boat ride down a winding river? Can you imagine the sweet serenity of such a trip as you listen to the sounds of the water sloshing against the sides of the boat? You could enjoy the cool wind as it blows through your hair. Watch the fish jump out of the water right into your boat. If that’s your idea of relaxation, I have just the river for you!

The family in this video was on an outing on a small river in Illinois, when suddenly they came across a large school of Asian Carp. Apparently this variety of carp are a bit “skittish” and when they get “skittish” they take to the air. These aren’t flying fish, don’t tell the family that was swatting them out of the sky that, they are jumping fish. I wish I could jump so well. (Video Follows)

Apparently these fish are moving west, so keep an eye out the next time you are on a river or in a lake. You might have more than bugs to swat. On the plus side, it will be the easiest fishing in the world. Rod and real, not required.

It includes the great moments and the sad ones. If, like me, you have grown up with the Shuttle it might just bring a little heaviness to your heart.

The California Bears were winning in the final quarter 19 to 17. In the final 8 seconds of the game Standford kicked a field goal giving them the winning point, 20 to 19. The crowd is going nuts, but not as crazy as they were about to become. With 4 seconds left on the clock, Standford kids to California; which catches the ball and starts their return. After several laterals the Bears begin to take yards. As a few of them break away from Standford they suddenly find themselves running through the band. Undaunted they plow right through the extremely surprised and confused band for a winning touchdown that no one expected, including the sportscaster.

History would know this simply as “The Play” and it’s considered one of the greatest moments in college football. I can tell you that it’s great TV. It’s great sports. Most of all though, it’s a wonderful lesson in “it ain’t over, till it’s over.”

If you enjoy Dr Who you are going to love this beautifully done spoof that has lots of fun with the Dr Who mythos and its well known “over-the-top” style. Never you mind, just watch and I will explain later. (This spoof is based on “classic” Dr Who.)

I was one of those that used it daily, and for many of the reasons stated in this news story. I remember talking with people in Europe, Asia and Australia. I even used the internet to borrow a book from a university library in Australia.

I remember leaving for Korea in 1994 with few knowing of the internet, and returning in 1998 with the internet being a regular topic of discussion across all types of people. Windows 95 had a lot to do with the explosion because of everyone having Internet Explorer on their computers.

The years have changed the look and the feel of the internet, but much of what the reporter says about the internet remains true today. Enjoy this great video compliments of YYTM.tv.
